Charly Uzcategui
Charly Uzcategui was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1990, He studied Petroleum Engineering at Unellez, focus and oriented into the Earth and Geology Sciences. Since his parents have been working with plants and terrariums for more than 30 years, he grew up surrounding plants and natural environments and he fall in love with biological and botanical Sciences and how they can connect with Art.
Now in New York Charly has become this idea in a very interesting Artistic alternative, founding with Henger Ydrogo and Timothy Chu Terrart Nyc, (Terr: Terrarium and Art), They have been working together and participating in different exhibitions as 2019 WeWork, 2021 Kaufman Astoria Studios, and others.
Concept: Terrariums are a representation of Mother Earth, they are self-sustaining, easy-care plant designs inside a sealed container, they reduce 75% of water consumption due to the micro water cycle and photosynthesis process.
Since all terrariums have a unique landscape design they emerge as an exclusive Piece of Art at your fingertips using up to 40% of recycled materials.
Terrart Nyc has been the winner of important Startups competitions as Queens Economic Develop Corporation (QEDC) 2021 under Sustainable Category and The Public Brooklyn Library PowerUP 2021 edition.
